Melanocortin analogs

Synthetic analogues of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone used in melanocortin receptor research. Melanotan I (afamelanotide) is selective for the MC1 receptor, which controls melanin production in skin cells; Melanotan II acts at several melanocortin receptors; and PT-141 (bremelanotide) acts mainly at the MC3 and MC4 receptors in the brain. Comparing them is a classic way to study which receptor drives which response. Each batch is supplied lyophilized with an independent lab report.
