Research overview
AHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a close analogue of GHK-Cu in which the glycine is replaced by alanine. Like GHK, the tripeptide binds copper tightly through its histidine and amino groups.
AHK-Cu is used mainly in cell-culture research on copper-peptide signalling, including work on hair follicle cells and dermal fibroblasts, and it is often tested side by side with GHK-Cu to see how a single amino acid change alters activity. Include a copper salt control at the same copper concentration to separate the effect of the complex from that of free copper.

Questions
How does AHK-Cu differ from GHK-Cu?
Only in the first amino acid: alanine in AHK, glycine in GHK. Both are copper(II) complexes of a histidyl-lysine tripeptide.
What controls suit AHK-Cu experiments?
The free peptide, a copper salt at the same copper concentration and, where possible, GHK-Cu for comparison.
What's in the vial?
AHK-Cu at the strength you choose. No diluent or accessories are included.
Can I check the lab report for my vial?
Yes. The batch number on your vial matches a report on this page or in our lab report library, with a link to verify it on the lab's website where available.
Is this product for human use?
No. It's sold for laboratory research use only and isn't for human or veterinary use.
