All reportsResearch overview
TB-500 is the research name for synthetic thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid actin-binding protein present in almost every cell, or for a short fragment built around its central actin-binding region. Thymosin beta-4 holds monomeric actin in reserve, which links it directly to cell shape and movement.
Research on thymosin beta-4 covers skin wound models, eye surface studies and heart models, where it supported cardiac cell survival through the ILK-Akt pathway. Its active sites include Ac-SDKP and the LKKTETQ sequence. Because full-length protein and fragments differ greatly in mass, use the lab report to confirm which molecule your batch contains.

Questions
Is TB-500 full-length thymosin beta-4?
Products sold as TB-500 can be full-length thymosin beta-4 (about 4.9 kDa) or a much smaller fragment. The measured mass on the lab report confirms which one a batch is.
What is TB-500 studied for?
Cell migration, blood-vessel growth and tissue repair in animal and cell models. See TB-500 and thymosin beta-4.
What's in the vial?
TB-500 at the strength you choose. No diluent or accessories are included.
Can I check the lab report for my vial?
Yes. The batch number on your vial matches a report on this page or in our lab report library, with a link to verify it on the lab's website where available.
Is this product for human use?
No. It's sold for laboratory research use only and isn't for human or veterinary use.
