Research overview

Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin, Tyr-Asn-Trp-Asn-Ser-Phe-Gly-Leu-Arg-Phe-NH2, and the shortest fragment with full activity at the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, formerly GPR54). Kisspeptin signalling is the main switch that drives the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).

Loss of KISS1R function prevents puberty in people and animals, which made kisspeptin central to reproductive neuroendocrinology. Research uses kisspeptin-10 to stimulate the GnRH axis and study the release of LH and FSH. It is short-acting, so time points matter in study design. Compare it with gonadorelin, which acts one step further down the same axis.

Product details

Kisspeptin-10 is the C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin and an agonist of the KISS1 receptor (GPR54). It is used in research on neuroendocrine signaling.

Questions

What does kisspeptin-10 activate?

The kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, also called GPR54), which drives GnRH release from the hypothalamus.

How does it differ from gonadorelin?

Kisspeptin-10 acts on GnRH neurons; gonadorelin is GnRH itself and acts directly on the pituitary.

What's in the vial?

Kisspeptin-10 at the strength you choose. No diluent or accessories are included.

Can I check the lab report for my vial?

Yes. The batch number on your vial matches a report on this page or in our lab report library, with a link to verify it on the lab's website where available.

Is this product for human use?

No. It's sold for laboratory research use only and isn't for human or veterinary use.
