Research overview
KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal end (residues 11 to 13) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. It keeps much of the anti-inflammatory activity associated with the parent hormone in cell models while lacking the sequence that drives pigmentation.
Research on KPV focuses on inflammatory signalling in intestinal epithelial cells and in rodent models of colitis, where it is taken up into cells by the peptide transporter PepT1 and dampens NF-kB activation. Its small size makes it easy to dissolve and well suited to oral designs. KPV also appears in the KLOW blend and in a capsule combination with larazotide and BPC-157.

Questions
Where does KPV come from?
It is the last three amino acids (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, made synthetically.
How does KPV enter cells?
Studies in intestinal cells show uptake through the di- and tripeptide transporter PepT1, after which it acts on inflammatory signalling inside the cell.
What's in the vial?
KPV at the strength you choose. No diluent or accessories are included.
Can I check the lab report for my vial?
Yes. The batch number on your vial matches a report on this page or in our lab report library, with a link to verify it on the lab's website where available.
Is this product for human use?
No. It's sold for laboratory research use only and isn't for human or veterinary use.
