PEG-MGF is a pegylated form of mechano growth factor, the peptide derived from the E domain of an IGF-1 splice variant produced in muscle in response to mechanical load (IGF-1Ec in humans). The E peptide is studied separately from mature IGF-1 because it may act through distinct mechanisms.
