All reportsResearch overview
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide (His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) and one of the earliest growth hormone-releasing peptides, developed in the early 1980s before the ghrelin receptor and ghrelin itself were discovered. Work with GHRP-6 helped reveal that receptor.
GHRP-6 is known for strongly stimulating appetite through ghrelin-receptor signalling, alongside growth hormone release, and it raises ACTH and cortisol. It remains a reference compound in ghrelin-receptor pharmacology and was the comparator against which ipamorelin's selectivity was measured. Supplied lyophilized; check identity and purity on the lab report.

Questions
Why is GHRP-6 historically important?
Research with GHRP-6 and related peptides led to the discovery of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, later shown to be the ghrelin receptor.
Does GHRP-6 affect appetite?
Yes. Through the ghrelin receptor it is a strong appetite signal in animal models, which is part of why it is studied.
What's in the vial?
GHRP-6 at the strength you choose. No diluent or accessories are included.
Can I check the lab report for my vial?
Yes. The batch number on your vial matches a report on this page or in our lab report library, with a link to verify it on the lab's website where available.
Is this product for human use?
No. It's sold for laboratory research use only and isn't for human or veterinary use.
