NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is the coenzyme that carries electrons in energy metabolism and the substrate consumed by sirtuins, PARPs and CD38. Its levels fall with age in many species, including humans, which has made it one of the most studied molecules in metabolism and ageing research.
This product is supplied as a lyophilized powder for biochemical research. NAD+ absorbs moisture readily and is much less stable in solution than as a powder, especially when warm or alkaline, so keep vials sealed and frozen and prepare solutions in a neutral or slightly acidic buffer on the day of use.
